  • Dr-AJ-Iwasko
    Dr. AJ Iwasko
    Owner

    Dr. AJ Iwasko is the owner of Waynesville Veterinary Hospital (WVH). He is a 2013 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. AJ hails from Springboro, Ohio, where he graduated from Springboro High School, and received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Wright State University. His professional interests include general orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, reproductive medicine, and dentistry. He strives to provide personalized, compassionate medicine for patients at every stage of life. He enjoys being able to give clients as many happy and healthy days with their furry family members.  In his free time, he enjoys taking in the great outdoors, hiking, watching his favorite sport teams (The Ohio State Buckeyes and Chicago Blackhawks), and spending time with his family and friends, including his wife, Cristie, their rescued lab cross, Raleigh and rescued hound mix, Harlow. 

  • Dr-Ruth-Miller
    Dr. Ruth Miller
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Ruth Miller graduated from Miami University in 1982 with a degree in Philosophy and from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986.  When she joined the Waynesville Veterinary Hospital, she brought with her 25 years of practice experience.  Her specialties include laser surgeries, soft tissue surgeries and orthopedic cases.  Dr. Ruth trains dogs to compete in agility and spends a lot of time hiking and walking.  She enjoys gardening and antiquing as well.  Dr. Ruth and her husband have 3 dogs: Cari a corgi, Nimoy, a canaan dog, and Max, a yellow labrador, as well as 3 beautiful cats.

  • Dr-Jody-Strong
    Dr. Jody Strong
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Jody Strong was a graduate of Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Dr. Jody grew up in the small town of Loudonville, Ohio, and received an Honors degree in Biology from Marietta College in 1996. After graduating from Veterinary School in 2000, she worked at a practice in Xenia before coming to WVH. To complement her veterinary degree, Dr. Jody attained Fear Free Certification in 2018. Professionally, Dr. Jody has special interest in surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, and providing low stress veterinary care with careful attention to detail. She looks forward to providing gentle and thorough care at WVH. Since 2000, Dr. Jody has lived in the Waynesville community with her husband and three sons who both attend Waynesville schools. The family has a rescued German shepherd mix named Gibbs and a lab-beagle mix named Gemma. When not busy with her kids, Dr. Jody pursues her interests in birdwatching, gardening, canoeing, and genealogy.

    Dr. Michael Hanhart
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Michael Hanhart received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine where he was awarded the ACVIM Award for Clinical Excellence and graduated in the top five in his class. Following graduation, Dr. Hanhart practiced in Indianapolis before coming to Dayton and ultimately beginning work at the Waynesville Veterinary Hospital where he currently holds professional interests in internal medicine, dentistry and ultrasonography. He also teaches a Pet First Aid and CPR course on some weekends. Outside of work, Dr. Hanhart enjoys travel, spending time at the gym and reading. He was a past Trustee on the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association and he is a current member of the Phi Zeta National Veterinary Honor Society, the Miami Valley Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the Lesbian and Gay Veterinary Medical Association.

  • Vanessa-Seaman
    Dr. Vanessa Seaman
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Vanessa Seaman graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years starting as an assistant, then working as an office manager, and a registered veterinary technician. Dr. Vanessa has a passion for Theriogenology (reproductive medicine) and dentistry. In her free time she loves to train her horses for obstacle competitions as well as training her dogs for obedience, rally and agility. She also enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new places! Dr. Vanessa and her husband have 3 horses, Jill, Reina and Tank, a mini donkey, Baby Donk, 1 ball python named Banana, 2 yorkies named Fannie and Finn, 1 Australian shepherd named Loki and a golden retriever named Betty!
